Forrest grew up in the hills of Vermont with his parents and older sister. After attending a small ski academy in Waitsfield, Vermont,

he pursued his education at Bates College where he will graduate in 2020. He has focused his studies around Geology and Anthropology. Climbing and skiing have played an important role in Forrest’s life.

Forrest spent many years of his life ski racing and now enjoys pushing his limits in skiing with a small group of friends. Forrest loves climbing and is grateful for the experiences he has had climbing in different areas across the United States.  Bouldering, sport climbing, tradition

al climbing and ice climbing are disciplines he actively participates in. In the summer of 2018 Forrest started his first year with Acadia Mountain Guides as an intern. He is thrilled to be coming back and pursuing a career as a climbing guide for the 2019 season.

Forrest finds great joy sharing his knowledge about climbing with others. During his time attending college in Maine he has explored many areas of the state and fallen in love with all it has to offer. He loves the small town of Bar Harbor and the breathtaking beauty of Acadia National Park.

Some of Forrest’s favorite places to climb are: the local crags of Vermont, Cathedral Cliff, Mount Washington, Smith Rock, Red River Gorge and Shagg Crag in Maine. Some of his favorite places he has been able to ski include: The Green Mountains of Vermont, the Cascades, the Eastern Alps of Switzerland and Italy, Svalbard and the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
