Growing up on the coast of Maine, Caelan’s passion for the outdoors began at a young age. Summers were filled with mountain biking, hiking, camping, and some of his fondest memories include hiking Mount Katahdin and canoeing throughout northern and eastern Maine on the Allagash and the Narraguagus river. Winters have always been dedicated to snowboarding both in and out of the resort, now competing at the collegiate level.
These early adventures fostered a deep connection with Maine’s landscapes and instilled in Caelan a love for adventure and discovery, whether on trails, rivers, or snowy slopes.
Caelan’s introduction to rock climbing came during his freshman year of college, when he started working at the university’s indoor climbing wall. Since then, climbing has become a part of his life and identity. In the summer of 2024, he joined Acadia Mountain Guides as an intern, returning the following year as a certified SPI Instructor.
In addition to his passion for the outdoors, Caelan has been playing soccer for many years and continues to play at the collegiate level.
Caelan thrives on sharing the outdoors with others and takes pride in helping people grow and discover their own enjoyment and confidence in outdoor activities. Whether guiding new or experienced climbers, his focus is on creating welcoming, growth-oriented experiences for every adventurer.
When not guiding, climbing, or playing soccer, Caelan enjoys discovering and photographing new places, tinkering in the garage, or relaxing at a favorite swimming spot. His goal is to help others grow, connect, and find the same sense of joy in the outdoors that has shaped his life.
