CAper LOOMIS

Guiding Since 2023

Caper grew up on the coast of Maine and in the Adirondack Park, so naturally spending time outdoors quickly became an intrinsic part of her childhood. She was introduced to climbing a year before starting at SUNY Plattsburgh for a B.S. in Expeditionary Studies. During her time within the program she gained experience rock climbing, ice climbing, backcountry skiing, whitewater kayaking, and sea kayaking by attending and TAing courses with @sunyplattsburghexp . Her classes took her to many different locations across the states, granting her exposure and experience to many different climbing and skiing zones. It also opened her eyes to the world of professional guiding and outdoor education outside of the school classroom framework.

Caper interned with AMG in the summer of 2023. She is back this summer to guide, excited to get after it, and ready to sling some ropes!
