Kenna grew up in Illinois, where she had a very limited knowledge of the outdoors. She enjoyed the many forest preserves and venturing out into the woods. But it was not until she went to college in Arizona did she start to truly enjoy the outdoors. She joined the ASU outdoors club and figured out the ins and outs of camping on the spot.
She was later inspired to pursue backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail in 2018. While on the trail she had developed a foot infection which landed her right in the heart of Bishop, CA. Here she discovered her love for climbing and its lifestyle.
From that point on she began living in a chevy Astro van and toured many parts of the country and Mexico to climb. These locations included Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, California, Oklahoma, Kentucky, New York, Nuevo Leon, and Maine.
