Morgan grew up outside, first in her family’s barn in Colorado riding horses and climbing hay bales before moving to the east coast. In a military family, she moved often and the first thing her family did in a new place was go hiking which cultivated in her a curiosity and love for the outdoors. She brought this love into her college life at the University of Maine where she discovered an obsession with rock climbing. Through UMaine’s outdoor adventure program, Maine Bound, she worked as a trip leader, route setter and climbing wall instructor, and in her final year worked as a student manager for their trips program.

Over the past few years Morgan has climbed across the country in West Virginia, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Nevada, Arizona, and California and worked as an instructor in California, New Hampshire and Maine.
