Ryan’s love for the outdoors began at an early age roaming around the woods in northern Michigan. He tried climbing for the first time during his senior year of high school on a field trip with his school’s outdoors club and fell in love with it immediately. He loved the feeling of overcoming fear and doubt on the wall while also challenging himself physically. Since then, Ryan has pursued climbing with a relentless intensity that has taken him all over the country to destinations such as Yosemite, Red Rocks, Joshua Tree, Indian Creek, and many more. Ryan graduated with a B.A in Adventure Education from Fort Lewis College in 2023 and has begun his career as a full-time climbing guide. He hopes his clients feel a sense of amazement at their beautiful surroundings in Acadia and are inspired to step out of their comfort zones as they experiment with climbing. Ryan can’t wait to climb with you this season!
