Backcountry Skiing in the Chic Chocs

Rock the Chocs! Skiing in the Chic Chocs is a great place for the novice backcountry skier and the seasoned veteran alike. The variety of terrain coupled with the easy access makes for a great ski destination. Runs average 600 – 1200 feet in length allowing several laps to sometimes be done each day. Our itinerary is flexible and the aspects are varied allowing us to find the best snow available on any given day. Typical descents include the Hog’s Back, Champ de Mars, Mont Blanche, Mont Lyall and Mont Vallière de Saint Real or possibly a foray over to the Murdochville area. After a strong day’s effort, relax in a sauna, catch a massage, or have a toast at the Gite du Mont-Albert. Okay we will let you check your messages there as well via WIFI. The quaintness of the Quebecois culture coupled with the remoteness really gives the Gaspe a unique feel. It’s where the mountains literally meet the sea.
