Zack cleary

Guiding since 2017

Zack first started climbing and developed his passions for the outdoors during his time at Colgate University in their Outdoor Education program. From his time at Colgate University Outdoor Education, Zack has discovered his love of introducing others to new experiences and teaching them new skills. Since graduating, Zack has been guiding for Acadia Mountain Guides, traveling around the US, and trying to convince himself he likes offwidth climbing. Zack has also been working his way through the American Mountain Guides Association rock certifications having recently completed his Advanced Rock Guide Course. Whether you’re looking to try climbing for the first time with the family, climb some 5.10s high up on Champlain, or learn how to set up anchors on your own, Zack can craft an experience for you.

Some of Zack’s favorite climbing areas are the Gunks, Indian Creek, Acadia National Park, and the Adirondacks. In the off season, Zack spends his time ice climbing and skiing in Vermont. If you’re looking to explore in the Green Mountain State, let him know!
