Zack first started climbing and developed his passions for the outdoors during his time at Colgate University in their Outdoor Education program. From his time at Colgate University Outdoor Education, Zack has discovered his love of introducing others to new experiences and teaching them new skills. 

After graduating Zack has began guiding for Acadia Mountain Guides. Some of Zack’s favorite climbing areas are the Gunks, Indian Creek, Acadia National Park, and the Adirondacks. In the off season, Zack spends his time traveling and guiding around the US, trying to convince himself he likes off-width climbing. Zack has also been working his way through the American Mountain Guides Association rock certifications having recently completed his Advanced Rock Guide Course, Ice Instructor Course, and Alpine Guides Course.
